As we age, we typically lose our innocence and purity and with them our ability to dream. Through circumstances often beyond our control, we mature, become adults, and sacrifice the naiveté that gave us such uninhibited hope as children.

In an exhibit featuring various media including paint, print, and ceramics, Phoenix artists will explore the dual themes of innocence and the loss of innocence. They will each explore the personal experiences that either lead to the loss of their purity or allowed it to remain, a journey of innocence and loss that created the people they are today. The open-call exhibition will showcase the work of both emerging and established artists.
