97. Zinc Burger at Zinc Bistro

The next time you're wishing you could hop on your private plane and jet to Paris for a quick lunch, do yourself a favor and head to Zinc Bistro in Scottsdale. Though it's smack in the middle of the Kierland Commons shopping center, the restaurant feels like a quaint Parisian bistro, transporting diners far, far away from the Valley on the Sun.

During lunch (weather permitting) I like to sit on the restaurant's patio and order the Zinc Burger. It's not exactly a dainty dish, but when it comes to burgers this one oozes class. The dense beef patty comes topped with tomatoes and lemon arugula (see? classy!) and served on a sturdy brioche bun. You'll also have your choice of either bacon bleu cheese or truffled gruyeye. I prefer the latter, though the bacon bleu option gives a nice saltiness to the dish.

Sadly the burger doesn't come with a side of Zinc's excellent parmesan frites; I like to order a side as a starter and sometimes there are still some left when the main entrees arrive.
