Healthful, organic food usually comes with a dose of hippie discipline, but most of the offerings at The Center Bistro taste like a guilty pleasure, from luscious “Karmic coladas” that are as tempting as milkshakes, to creative salads and deceptively rich sandwiches, like free-range turkey smothered in hemp-nut mayo and vegan cream cheese. Connected to a yoga studio, in a bright, cheerful, and somewhat hard-to-find location just beyond the underground parking entrance on Seventh Street, this is a refreshing alternative to the dining options on Mill Avenue.
